Predictive Differential download

Innovation is relative to the way a handheld computer used to help supply services or product at a customer site receives its required data to achieve user task.

Aim is to reduce waiting times and dataflow by a predictive data download.

4. State of the art

Current situation is to download customer related data on user demand at pre determined steps such as departure or arrival.

While on the road and driving, driver cannot interact with the system to request data refresh.

When the application is using a communicating handheld, data can be refreshed at any time (using telecommunication network), but in this case is not predictive and only on user demand.

5. Problem solved by innovation:

Nowadays, there is no easy way to be prepared to unplanned delivery, and associated customer referential data download, even when using wireless data network.

A differential and preventive data download allows reducing the data flows to only what is required just before it is needed.

Telecommunication costs are optimized.

Accurate data, no time wasted.

Solving the choice between cheap data transfer vs time wasted.

Handheld computer are limited in size of data they can store and one cannot download all likely needed data.

Obsolete data due to the delay since last data request are reduced.
