METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR BEHAVIORAL ANALYTICS
BRIEF ABSTRACT
A method and system for behavioral analytics is disclosed. The system enables ingestion of web usage data that is utilized to perform analysis of user behavior. The system further enables generation of various real time reports.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
In recent times, advancement of information technology has resulted in generation of significant amount of data. Such data is associated with normal day to day operations, such as internet usage, communication among people, emails and work related files like MS word, MS excel, presentations among others. Such data may be utilized for various purposes such as, for analysis of user behavior, determining user liking or preference among several others.
However, performing analysis on such significant amount of data requires efficient data management using various database management systems. Generally, database management systems handle large amounts of data in a reliable and efficient manner by creating logical structures (referred to as tables). Though, while processing such huge amount of data, the database management systems consume a significant amount of time as well as computing resources. In addition, the database itself is required to be normalized and maintained in such a way, that facilitates easy and faster access. Further, querying a data record from several tables may be complex because the tables may not be

normalized in an appropriate form. Although, the database management systems manage the data efficiently, they do not facilitate efficient analysis of this data. For example, the data may represent internet usage of a user. Such data may be analyzed to understand usage pattern of the user, such as websites frequently accessed by the user, interests of the user among others.
Conventionally, various tools and software packages are available that perform data analysis to analyze the user behavior. However, each of these tools and the software packages is required to process the entire data tables to perform the analysis. Such an analysis consumes additional time and computing resource. Further, such tools and software packages do not facilitate generation of real time reports.
Fig 1 illustrates a schematic block diagram of a system for behavioral analytics. The system includes a computer and a server interconnected through a network. The network may be a wired connection, wire less connection, LAN, WAN, and Internet among others. The server includes a data ingestion module, an analysis and report module, a data sampling module and a database.
