Search for Technical Disclosures and Non-Patent Literature


Using the facilities of IP.com's Intellectual Property Library , Prior Art Database visitors (and registered users) may freely search the Non-Patent Literature collections hosted there. These collections include the Prior Art Database itself.

This form offers a simplified searching capability and result presentation consistent with the Prior Art Database user interface. You may search the Library's NPL collection directly by visiting it's advanced search facility. You may also wish to visit the Library's resource center for information on NPL Collections and Coverage

In addition to being a part of the IP.com's Intellectual Property Library Non-Patent Literature collections, the Prior Art Database supports its own search engine. This legacy search engine supports its own sophisticated syntax (detailed in this document).

Unique facilities of this engine include the ability to search within your own (or your company's) documents, as well as search the Daily Certification Records, which are explicitely withheld from the Library (and most third-party data feeds).
